Quirky hand-folded greeting card alternatives and decorative stars for all occasions. Handmade greetings cards and gift tags too!
Welcome to On the bright side crafts.
My paper-folding obsession started when I made some origami flowers for my lovely mum. Looking back, they were pretty average…but practise makes perfect as they say! I now mainly make origami stars that are really easy not only to post flat, but to put together too when they arrive at their destination.
Paper craft is a hobby that I would love to do full time but I’m not there yet. For now, I’m happy with my day job as a Recovery Worker in substance misuse services. Craft is a great distraction from a tough day at the office! My mum is a great help (she folds with me) at our weekly crafting evenings where we are also joined by coffee and biscuits! Mum and I sell at 2 monthly makers markets in our home town of Leek in the Staffordshire Moorlands and the famous Wedgwood site in nearby Stoke-on-Trent.
I have to admit that we have a paper-folding addiction, but when I’m not doing that I love to spend time with my amazing husband going for walks, cycling, gardening and discovering new places. I also draw and paint for fun (but not to a standard that would sell!)
